my shows and other clothing activities

I did a festival in my hometown of Reddish, Stockport England.
It is called Reddfest. I displayed the clothes I had made so far which was a
good experience in learning how to lay out my things. Next time I will bring
some heavy objects to hold down the items on the tables - and a chair and flask!
It rained on and off all afternoon and I didnt have an umbrella either. I met
a lot of people and also got my picture taken by the paper. I spoke to the
Major and Majoress and was even filmed talking to them.http://reddfest.co.uk/
It also taught me about organisation networking and meeting a deadline.

Volunteered with Staircase House. The building contains rooms which are
period furnished. There is a 1940's bedroom with furnishings, textiles and
accessories complete with a feather eiderdown. A medieval room with a piano,
and original paintings from the 1600's. There was a lovely Italian man called
Dante who was dressed in period clothing from the 1500's. He is available to
hire to play musical instruments at events like the lute and the scottish
bag pipes. I wore my purple victorian dress and he played me a tune whilst
I sat on a setee. I felt just like a real lady.
